This project focuses on the healing power of water. Water appeals to all five senses and heals body and mind. Izmir and its surroundings are rich in thermal water springs, which have been used for healing purposes since ancient times.
Under the topic “Thermal bath and therapy center” the students develop a multi-use concept for
- a thermal bath
- a swimming area for the elderly
- a physical therapy center for the IUE Faculty of Health Sciences.
The designs relate to the surrounding landscape and appeal to several target groups.
In particular, the geographical conditions are considered an important reference point for the design in order to strengthen the connection between users and nature.

Bu projenin odağında suyun iyileştirici gücü bulunmaktadır. Su, beş duyumuza da hitap eder ve hem bedenimizi hem ruhumuzu iyileştirir. İzmir ve çevresi antikiteden bugüne şifa amaçlı kullanılan zengin sıcak su kaynaklarına sahiptir.
Öğrenciler, „Kaplıca ve Terarpi Merkezi“ başlığı altında aşağıdaki konularda çoklu kullanım konsepti geliştirecektir:
- Bir kaplıca
- Yaşlılara yönelik bir yüzme alanı
- İzmir Ekonomi Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi için bir fizyoterapi merkezi.
Bu taslaklar doğal çevreyle ilgili olacak ve birden fazla hedef gruba hitap edecektir.
Kullanıcılarla doğa arasındaki bağı güçlendirmek amacıyla özellikle coğrafi koşullar taslağın önemli bir odak noktasını oluşturmaktadır.
